Telegram Stars are Telegram's in-app currency. Members buy Stars inside Telegram and spend them on digital goods — including access to your paid channel. For creators, Stars are the lowest-friction way to get paid: no cards to enter, no checkout page, no leaving the app.

How Stars work for members

A member taps to pay, buys Stars through their app-store balance if needed, and confirms — all inside Telegram. Because there's no external checkout, Stars convert well, especially on mobile where entering card details is a drop-off point.

Using Stars for subscriptions

Stars support recurring subscriptions, so you can sell a monthly membership that renews automatically in-app. With MemberBot, a Stars subscription grants channel access just like any other rail and lapses when it ends.

Fees and payouts

Telegram takes a platform share (and the app stores take their cut of the Star purchase), so Stars carry a higher effective fee than local rails.
